MADISON HEIGHTS RESIDENCE

The remodel of this once generic town home works within the confines of the existing plan and creates a simple, high quality environment for the owner’s modern art collection. To define “rooms” within the existing open floor plan, additional layers of drywall were added and enhanced with subtle colors of Venetian plaster. Walls were fitted with rows of hooks at the top so art can be hung anywhere and rearranged with ease. The living room carpet was replaced with large squares of medium density fiberboard stained dark chocolate brown and fastened with exposed screws. A full compliment of new furnishings completed the transformation.
